Do you desire change in your life?
Most people do. There's an unsettling feeling telling you that something is missing. Wishing you had more of one thing, or less of another. You may not even know what's missing, but feel the longing for something different. Believing that once this gap is filled, happiness will permeate every ounce of your being. Then everything will be perfect.
Or so we believe.
So the search for the magic pill continues. The one that will set you free. Free from the pain being experienced, free from the limitations and blocks, free to have the life you dream of, free to be happy.
But it eludes you. No matter what you try, nothing works. You continue to run up against the same problems over and over again.
Truth be told, there is only one thing that stops you from having the change you desire.
Yes, you read that right.
Your mind tells you all the reasons why you can't have it. It resists the changes you know you must make on a consistent basis to have the transformation you are seeking.
It sabotages. It limits. It keeps you stuck.
Stay with me. Let's do an exercise.
A favorite quote by Thich Nhat Hanh says, “If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people.”
Those words speak deeply to me. Everything our ancestors have experienced is still alive in this moment and is present within our bodies.
The struggle, the sacrifice, the trauma our ancestors experienced is stored within your genetic lineage and continues to influence your physical, emotional, mental behavior, beliefs and patterns. They are waiting to be free from the pain and suffering; ready to share their story; offer wisdom, guidance, support and healing to their lineage. We have a responsibility to them, to ourselves and to our future generations to honor them; to respect them and to release the densities of the past ancestral trauma stored within our bloodline.
During this sacred time of year, the veil between the world drops, allowing us the opportunity to honor and connect with our ancestors in a deeply loving and compassionate way. I invite you to engage into a space of listening, of remembering, and of appreciation for your ancestors.
Here are a few simple things you can do to honor you own ancestors, not only during this time of year, but on a continuous basis:
Professionally trained and certified Generational Healer™ Crystal Rasmussen now offers both demonstrations and private sessions to support you in releasing the densities of your past ancestral trauma stored within your genetic linage to heal you today.
Each individual that has received a Generational Healing™ session has been blown away by the work itself, the transformation that takes place within their lives and the difference in how they feel. It is one of the highest forms of honoring we can do for our ancestors.
Benefits clients have expressed following a session include:
As an introvert I spend a lot of time reflecting inward. Diving deep into the shadows that still haunt me. Much of my life I stayed hidden, in a cocoon dreaming of someday flying through the realms exploring the depth, beauty and truth in the world. I yearned to experience life fully, to have deeply intimate relationships, to awaken my gifts and know my purpose. I longed to be free. Yet I was scared.
Terrified to be exact.
Fear, worry, doubt, and unworthiness controlled my life. Every single aspect. I made excuses for it. I bought the beliefs, illusions and conditions from society, family, religion and the negative self-talk that constantly played loops over and over in my mind.
Phrases like “I can’t”, “No one will understand”, “I won’t fit in” emanated from my energetic field. As these words reflected back to me my wounds they proved to me it wasn’t safe….that I wasn’t safe. I believed the only way for me to be safe was to continue down the same road I was on.
Don’t get me wrong, I wanted change. I craved change. Yet I was only willing to allow myself a small amount at a time. I would dip my toe in to see how much it would upset my world. Knowing I could pull back at any moment. I refused to commit to myself – to what my SOUL desired and gently communicated with me.
To pretend I was doing all I could, I enrolled in classes, worked with healers and coaches and told myself I was focused on fixing “this or that”. But nothing changed. Not really.
At least not until I fully committed to myself.
I recognized I was showing up fearful. Full of anxiety, pushing what I desired the most away. I found myself quickly retreating into hiding to seek the comfort and safety I didn’t feel existed. I was engaging in unhealthy relationship dynamics that brought chaos, anger and a desperate need to control life in general. I wasn’t happy or filled with love and I certainly wasn’t representing freedom or fully living my truth. Which were the few things I felt were priorities in my life.
Suddenly it hit me. My life is my message to the world.
Who I was being…without me even realizing it... was what I was sharing in the world. I was out of integrity. I was inauthentic. I was giving off vibes that I didn’t want to give off. I was lying to myself. I was telling my kids and those around me one thing, yet showing them something very different. The way I showed up in each and every moment determined what I was creating. And I was not creating what I desired. Heck, much of the time I wasn't okay with who I was being and how I was showing up, but I was so caught up in my mind chaos I was unable to see clearly.
That moment triggered a clarity that stuck with me and continues as a reminder. It reveals itself during times when I’m not showing up in a way my soul desires. When the awareness hits home I'm able to re-evaluate what is important to me and who I want to be in the world.
Maybe my story reminds you a little bit about you?
Maybe you have dreams of being free from the pain and suffering you are currently feeling? Maybe you crave something more, something different in life? Maybe you hear the small gentle voice of your Soul guiding you, but you aren’t sure how to listen? Maybe you want to share a big message with the world but what is currently happening in your life is stopping you from doing so?
I'm going to share with you.
Your life is your message to the world.
How you show up every single day determines what your future will be. It is proven over and over again that the change you seek resides in the choices you make now.
We are always emitting signals to the universe…whether we are conscious of them or not they are creating our life. It’s the message we are sharing in the world.
Pause for a moment. Take a deep breath in. Imagine yourself floating to a space where you can gain a clearer perspective. Now look at your life as an observer. What do you see? Feel? Hear? Sense? Who are you being? How are you showing up? How committed are you to what you say you really want? What are you doing daily to bring it into your reality? What do you like? And what don’t you?
Once you have observed your life from an outside perspective take a few deep breaths and return to your body and the present moment. Feel your feet on the floor. Feel your legs, your hips, your stomach, chest, throat, shoulders, arms, hands and head.
What did you become aware of?
It’s easy to get caught up and distracted in the mundane day to day tasks. The responsibilities. The obligations. The mind chatter. The fear. The doubt. The worry. The chaos. The emotional upheaval. When this happens we lose sight of what is important to us. We forget what our Soul really is craving. And even though we SAY or PRETEND that we are showing up, we might not always be showing up in the way we think we are.
I encourage you to reflect on what you received as an observer of your life and ask yourself these questions.
I’d love to hear about your experience. Email me what you’ve received during the meditation and what you received during the reflection exercise.

Do you struggle with speaking your truth from your heart space? Do you find yourself stuffing down your feelings, telling yourself that you are over reacting or that what you need doesn't matter?
At some point, you felt stifled from expressing your voice in the world, Maybe you were told you were too sensitive, you asked too many questions (and were made to be wrong for them), or you were judged harshly for communicating openly and felt the pains of rejection and fear of being cast out from a relationship, a tribe or a community. Perhaps you were taught to sacrifice yourself so everyone else could receive what they needed, leading you to believe, that your needs are less important than others.
Instead of standing in your power and communicating your truth with ease, you mind plays over and over what you should say, how to say it and possible scenarios. You withdraw from the conversation unsure of what to say so you shut down and shrink while stuffing down your real feelings pretending that everything is okay. When open honest and vulnerable communication doesn't happen, relationships break down. Heart wounds, confusion and anger fester building resentment and unhealthy relationships where you feel unheard, invisible, taken advantage of and unimportant.
For generations, society has been taught that it's not okay to ask for what you need, to openly share thoughts and feelings or to fully express who you are in the world. This makes it extremely difficult for women to voice her needs, communicate her truth with honesty and love or to feel heard.
It's time to know without a doubt that your voice matters. You no longer need to continue to feel invisible, unheard or unimportant. It's time to break through the fear of rejection, and begin honoring yourself.
One of the number one reasons people stop themselves from speaking their truth is fear.
Fear another's feelings will be hurt. Fear of rejection, not belong or being loved and accepted. Fear they will say something wrong, be misunderstood or that no one will hear them anyway. Fear they won't be respected or received in what they are asking. So they suffer in silence, secretly wishing they had the strength to voice their truth.
Your voice matters. It's not okay for you to continue to shrink and hide your voice in the world anymore. It's time to break free from the fear and the conditions to communicate your truth.
Begin speaking your truth with these simple steps.
Building upon these simple steps allows you to communicate your truth in the world, build healthy relationships and feel much more calm within.

Every once in a while there is a song that catches my attention because of the core truth it holds within the words. The lyrics for "Last Time for Everything" by Brad Paisely sparked a fire within reminding me of the importance to be present, in full acceptance and filled with gratitude for what is right now.
You see, I believe in fully living your life... consciously. That means being fully grounded, present and aware of the choices you are making that are creating your life and embracing every moment unconditionally. (By every moment I mean the good, the bad, the ugly, the mistakes...all of it as messy or as fabulous as it is.) When you live with curiosity and presence you embody appreciation for exactly what is showing up around you. With the understanding that nothing is forever, everything is always changing you have the ability to become aware of the gift that each situation, person, place has and then you have the ability to CHOOSE how you experience it. Even the messy stuff. Because nothing lasts forever. Whether we love it, hate it or are unsure about it, there is a last time for everything.
As a society, most people are so intensely focused in what needs to be fixed, what's missing, what they don't have and where they "should" be instead of where they actually ARE that they lose sight of what is and the gift it has to offer. People get swallowed up in the fear of not having or being enough so they strive to get somewhere, cling to what was or what "should" be, but miss out on enjoying the experience of living. When you are always focused on the future or the past, you're unable to fully appreciate the present and live from this space of consciousness and awareness. You miss out on the gifts it has to offer in each moment.
Have you watched the movie Click with Adam Sandler? His character wasted all his energy on overworking to get the promotion he desperately wanted eventually losing sight of what was important to him. When he was given the gift to fast forward through the parts of his life that were uncomfortable to get to the goal; the one thing he thought would solve all his problems; he actually ended up missing out on life. Never fully enjoying what was in front of him or appreciating the gift that it was.
When we approach life as if it will be the last time we will ever experience a situation, a person, a place suddenly every single thing is beautiful. It is all in Divine Order. There is no wrongness. It is all in perfect alignment.
Let me ask you, if you walked into the job you hate knowing it would be the last time you were ever there would you view it differently? What if the kiss you gave your lover that morning was the last one? Would you pause and fully appreciate the softness of their lips and that gentle smile they give you as they turn to leave or would you continue to rush through as if it will always be there. What if you knew the person you are frustrated with suddenly was no longer going to be there, would you offer forgiveness and compassion and recognize how they contributed to your life?
Truly, there is a last time for everything. Just as the song states, "Last call, last chance. Last song, last dance. Sometimes you just don't know when that's gonna be." In order to fully live our life we must recognize that and move into a state of presence. This creates full appreciation for what is currently showing up and allows you to begin to see the beautiful master design it is.

You’ve heard the call; a rumbling from the depths of your Soul. There is more to life than what you are currently experiencing. Dreams and visions of what could be possible fill your fantasies.
As a seeker you’ve searched far and wide to discover more of who you are, to learn what your purpose is, to find the secret ingredient to happiness and to experience more freedom and serenity in your life, yet it seems that no matter what you do you can’t seem to get to the next level.
On your journey, you’ve tapped into a small inner voice that shares the experiences your Soul yearns to have. You may desire to travel to a sacred site, enroll in a class, study with a spiritual guide, take that leap and become a healer, move across the country, leave a relationship (or enter a new one), speak your truth from a space of love and compassion, or start a new business but something stops you. Your mind begins to fill with doubts, uncertainties and worries. Then you begin to feel ungrounded, scattered, uncertain, unworthy, confused and stuck. You don’t see how you could possibly achieve that goal, take that class, authentically express yourself, or expand your life to experience more freedom.
Excuses and reasons why it’s impossible for you fill your mind. This could look like saying you don’t have any money or time. It could be that you are trying to make others feel more comfortable, you fear being judged or rejected or you don’t know what the end result will look like. It could be a million other things you tell yourself. In this moment, you’ve settle for what’s good enough and the familiar instead of pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. Fear now controls your choices and how you experience your life. You’ve bought into the matrix of conditions, illusions and untruths.
Fear has been designed to control you. In each moment you have the choice to stay stuck or to choose something different and experience the life your Soul truly desires. The only thing you need to change your reality instantly is Courage.
One moment filled with courage to take that leap, move beyond the fear and commit to yourself alters the reality of your life forever. You suddenly become free. With this new found freedom, you have the ability to experience the life you have been saying you desire. You get to experience more of what your Soul wants for you. You discover your truth. Within that, you feel happy, peaceful, expanded and limitless. You become unstoppable.
Take a moment and ask yourself the following questions.
Would you like more support on releasing the fears that stop you and embodying the courage to move beyond them? Schedule a 30 minute complimentary Soul Therapist Consultation with Crystal today.
Do you fall into bed each night physically exhausted, mentally drained and emotionally broken? Do you carry the weight of the world on her shoulders desperately trying to stay strong for everyone else, making sure everyone else’s needs are met before your own?
As you move through the days you juggle work, errands, family, friends and daily activities and chores with care and balance – making sure nothing falls through the cracks, yet find yourself never reaching your full potential in any area.
With such a loving spirit you desire to help both those struggling and loved ones by solving problems and trying to make everyone else happy; regardless of the sacrifice you make for yourself. On the outside it looks as though you have everything together. Your smile says to the world, “Everything is okay. I’ve got this”. Yet, inside don’t feel like that. You go through the daily motions just to get to the next step. The intense chaos within leaves you anxious, stressed and longing for peace. At times, you finds yourself wanting to withdraw from the world to regain a sense of yourself again, to discover the inspiration and happiness that was lost somewhere along the way.
You are living for other people and not honoring what you need in your life. Not even recognizing what those needs may be. Your energy is scattered as the mind is distracted with a million different responsibilities, obligations, have-tos and should’s.
Having healthy boundaries is an essential part of self-love. Creating these boundaries can not only renew your spirit, but bring both a sense of freedom and peace. When you are able to honor more of who you are and are not caught up in the daily activities of juggling everything for everyone else, your energy increases, you have clarity of mind, you experience peace and calmness and you are able to enjoy being present in the moment.
Here are a few simple steps to renew your spirit and create healthy boundaries.
1) Call your Energy Back. Sit quietly in lotus position or with your feet flat on the floor. Close your eyes and ask the pieces of you that you left with others, in other spaces or situations to come back to you. Visualize the golden sparks of your energy flying back to you and filling your entire being until all of your energy has returned to you.
2) Say No. Begin saying no to things and people that do not serve you. The word NO is a complete sentence. You do not need to explain or justify to others why you cannot do something with or for them.
3) Date Yourself. Set aside specific times for you every week to do something that you really want to do. What would you like to experience? What is going to nourish your soul? Go to a class, take a hike in nature, dance, get a massage.
4) Define what is important to you. What are your priorities? Why are they important to you? What do they offer you? Keep this written somewhere when something doesn't match your priorities you have the opportunity to say no.
If you would like to learn how to create healthier boundaries and desire to awaken, renew and expand your spirit, I invite you to schedule a 30 minute complimentary Soul Therapist Consultation at http://bit.ly/soultherapy.

Do you struggle with making decisions wondering what the best option is? When a choice needs to be made, you immediately shut down, going into fear thinking whatever you choose will be the wrong one.
You try to balance everyone else's needs, desires and wishes without even considering your own and how it will effect your daily life.
Terrified of making a mistake, doubting your ability to follow your intuition or trust yourself you seek out advice and approval from everyone else, ultimately giving your power away. On top of that you endlessly analyzing every possible outcome until you are beyond confused.
Society has taught us not to trust ourselves, to second guess our intuition and that no matter what, you must stick with the choice you made.
One choice can alter your reality. Saying yes to a potential partner, quitting your job, choosing a different path, moving across the country along with every minor choice has the potential to alter your life.
The key is to discover the power in your choice.
Are you making your choice based in fear or are you making your choice based on expansion?
When you are deciding from fear, you become limited. You become anxious over the future and worry about how it will affect not only you, but everyone around you. (Their needs and desires are put above your own.) Your body creates tension, becomes sore and painful and exhausted. You think about all the possible negative outcomes, and emotional upheaval takes over, leading you to hide underneath the covers and give up responsibility of making the choice.
The moment you step into choosing from a place of expansion and how it will serve you is the moment you are able to trust your experience.
You suddenly step into a sacred space where you are able to create your life from a conscious place. You open up, you follow your intuition, and synchronicity appears. You experience more freedom, more joy, more ease and more clarity, allowing doors to be opened for you.
Here are a few simple journal exercises to understand the power of choice and how it works for you.
1) List of all the choices you've made that added value to your life. How did you come to that decision? What did you feel? What was your experience? Go into detail.
2) List the choices you've made based in fear. How did you come to that decision? What were you afraid of? What was your experience? Go into detail.
3) Create a timeline. Feel into and journal about what your life will look like if you make "this" choice in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years.
If you are struggling with making choices and desire more support contact Crystal today to discuss how The Soul Therapist Awakening Sessions can help you. The Awakening Sessions bring you to an awareness of where you have created limitations based on past conditioning. This awakening is life-changing and will impact any current situations that have been holding you back from experiencing your truth, choices, and life direction of what is best for you.
Do your thoughts spiral out of control on a daily basis? Is your mind constantly filled with worry, doubt, or confusion? Do you find yourself playing out scenarios of what MIGHT happen? Or replaying the past over and over again?
Your mindset determines how you experience your life. If your mind is continuously on overdrive, looking for problems to solve, questioning what might or might not happen, wondering what others will think or is in uncertainty it can literally stop you from living the life your Soul desires.
Overthinking is one of the biggest obstacles people face in realizing their dreams. It creates fear. It stops you from choosing what you really want to do. It keeps you from speaking your truth. It keeps you stuck in the future or holding onto the past instead of fully living in the moment. It stops you from experiencing true happiness, peace and freedom in your life.
Have you ever wished you could just turn off your mind and stop overthinking?
Here are four simple steps to help you stop overthinking.
1) Meditate. Meditation is about letting go of all the thoughts that are controlling you and grounding your energy into your body. If you find it difficult to focus on your breath use a mantra that you repeat. Once you notice yourself no longer repeating the mantra, simply begin again. Or use a guided meditation. Start with 10 minutes and increase the time as you feel more comfortable.
2) Be Present. Becoming fully present in the moment paying attention to what is currently happening within and around you is another great way to get you out of your head. To do this, become aware of the sights, sounds, smells and sensations you are experiencing; even during the mundane tasks like washing the dishes, cooking or driving.
3) Ground. When you are grounded and fully in your body then your mind is able to stop wandering and you are able to experience more balance, security and ease. To do this, start by breathing in and out through your heart, then imagine yourself being anchored into the center of Mother Earth being fully supported by her.
4) Journal. Journaling helps release all the thoughts floating around in your head. It supports you in becoming aware of what thoughts and feelings you are unconsciously having and helps you gain clarity.
